Dead Echo

Dead Echo is a game about a lost soul in purgatory. Use sounds to distract and find your way while avoiding the reaper. Collect all the fragments of your soul (5 of them) then and make it back to your coffin before the reaper to get a second chance at life.

Controls:

• Interact: E
• Move - WASD
• Look - Mouse
• Mouse Wheel Up/Down - Change Item
• Throw/Use Item - Left Click
• Recall Rock - Q (Limited Range)

Items:

• Rock of Revealing - Use this to distract the reaper, you can also use the echo to help you see in dark areas (Throw with left click, recall with Q)
• Memory Resonator - After picking this up, you must stay in range of this object to not take damage. Using an attuned resonator next to the corresponding soul fragment will reveal it.
• Memories - There are 5 moments of life with different emotions that weighed most heavily on you after death and prevent you from going completely to the other side. Anger, Fear, Happiness, Peace, Sadness. After finding a memory you can use it on the resonator to attune to that emotion.
• Soul Fragments - There are 5 fragments of you soul that broke apart from you on death that correspond with the memories. Use the memories with the resonator to reveal the fragments (Must use resonator close to reveal)

Spoilers

• The reaper only "sees" through sounds, any sounds you make will attract the reaper, however the reaper will only be attracted to the loudest noise
• Emotions have different effects on the reaper when used with the resonator
  • Anger/Sadness/Fear - Attracts the reaper
  • Peace/Happiness - Repels the reaper
